Special Features:

Barril Salted Caramel brings together cask-matured rum, notes of cream caramel and German sea salt. Its base consists of four rums from Barbados, the Dominican Republic, Panama and Nicaragua, matured for five to eight years in bourbon oak casks under tropical conditions before blending. Caramel and salt complement this blend to create a sweet and salty rum-based spirit. No caramel colouring or artificial spices are added.

The spirit is bottled at 42% in a bottle containing 0.5 litres. It can be enjoyed on its own over ice or paired with coffee, for example in an Espresso Martini or with cold brew. The combination of caramel and salt also pairs well with desserts.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose offers caramel accompanied by a hint of sea salt.
• Palate: The spirit is smooth and sweet on the palate. Caramel and salty accents balance one another.
• Finish: The long finish is warming and leaves sweet and salty impressions.

Distillery/Bottler:

Barril Salted Caramel is completed at the Skin Gin manufactory in Buxtehude, near Hamburg. Each bottle is filled individually by hand. Handcraft also plays a part in the presentation: a manufactory in northern Bavaria produces the bottles in the Salted Caramel design, with labels enhanced by special printing and embossing techniques. The back label is also applied by hand.
