Special Features:

The 100 Proof Edition #63 brings together ten-year-old Ben Nevis whiskies from the 2014 vintage, matured in first-fill Pedro Ximénez and second-fill Oloroso sherry butts. The two cask types shape a robust profile of dark fruit, chocolate, malt, orange and spices.

The whisky was bottled in 2025 at 57.1% ABV without added colouring or chill filtration. Raisins, dark sugar syrup and chocolate give it weight, while orange, malt and cask spice round out its broad, long-lasting profile.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose reveals dark fruit, dark sugar syrup and cocoa, accompanied by orange, oak and gentle spice.
• Palate: The whisky is robust and full-bodied on the palate. Raisins, toffee, dark chocolate and malt mingle with dried apricots and a light, honeyed sweetness.
• Finish: The finish is long and warming, with lingering sherry, spices, dried fruit and gently drying oak tannins.

Distillery/Bottler:

Founded by John MacDonald in 1825, Ben Nevis Distillery stands on the outskirts of Fort William near Ben Nevis. Its fermentation process uses wooden washbacks and brewer’s yeast, among other elements; slow distillation produces a robust, deep spirit well suited to maturation in former sherry casks. The distillery produced the Highland single malt used for this bottling.

Andrew Symington and his brother founded Signatory Vintage in 1988. After acquiring Edradour Distillery in 2002, Signatory had transferred its entire operation to Pitlochry by 2007 and expanded its warehouses there to hold more than 20,000 casks. As an independent bottler, Signatory Vintage selected the PX and Oloroso butts, married the whiskies matured in them and is responsible for the 100 Proof Edition #63.
