Special Features:

This Ben Nevis was distilled in December 2014 and matured for eleven years entirely in second-fill Port pipe 233. Signatory Vintage bottled it in April 2026 for the Cask Strength Collection at 59.7%; the single cask yielded 655 bottles. The whisky has its natural colour and is non-chill-filtered.

Mineral notes and restrained spice accompany dark red fruit and dried berries. Chocolate, roasted nuts and cocoa lead into dry spice and pronounced wood in the long finish.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, dark red fruit and dried berries mingle with mineral notes and subtle spice.
• Palate: On the palate, ripe berry fruit meets chocolate and roasted nuts.
• Finish: The finish is long and dry, with lingering dry spices, cocoa and pronounced wood.

Distillery/Bottler:

The Ben Nevis Distillery in Fort William produced this Highland single malt. John MacDonald built the distillery in 1825, and Nikka Whisky acquired it in 1989. After the installation of a new mash tun, new washbacks and a new boiler, Ben Nevis resumed production in 1990.

Signatory Vintage bottled the whisky as an independent bottler. Andrew Symington founded the company with his brother in 1988. Signatory has been based at Edradour since acquiring the distillery in 2002; its entire operation had moved to the site near Pitlochry by 2007.
