Distilled in 2015, this Benriach matured for ten years and received a finish in Oloroso sherry casks. Signatory Vintage bottled the Speyside single malt in June 2026 at 46% for the Un-Chillfiltered Collection. This 0.7-litre bottling has natural colour and is non-chill-filtered.

Its Oloroso-influenced profile combines raisins, plum, apple and orange with honeyed malt. Dark chocolate, hazelnut, toffee, caramel, cocoa, cinnamon, pepper and oak give the whisky a nutty spiciness. The long finish becomes drier, contrasting spice and oak with the fruity sweetness.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose combines dark raisins and ripe plums with toasted oak and nutty accents; a hint of forest honey completes the profile.
• Palate: On the palate, creamy caramel, malty sweetness and dark chocolate meet delicate nutty notes. The impression is full-bodied and creamy.
• Finish: The finish is long and dry; pepper, cinnamon, nutty chocolate and oak provide a spicy conclusion.

Distillery/Bottler:

Benriach stands on the site of the old Riach Farm in northern Speyside and draws its water from an underground, mineral-rich aquifer. The distillery uses four water additions rather than three during mashing and runs its stills slowly. The resulting longer middle cut is geared towards a fruit-forward spirit with notes of orchard fruit and citrus peel. Alongside its classically unpeated spirit, Benriach also produces Highland-peated and triple-distilled whisky.

Andrew Symington and his brother founded Signatory Vintage Scotch Whisky in 1988. After acquiring Edradour Distillery in 2002, Signatory had moved its entire operation to the distillery site near Pitlochry by 2007 and developed warehousing capacity for more than 20,000 casks there. As an independent bottler, Signatory selected this Benriach for the Un-Chillfiltered Collection and bottled it in 2026.
