Berliner Luft Bangarang brings peppermint together with the flavour of an energy drink. The fresh mint provides a counterpoint to the fruity sweetness. Exotic fruit aromas round out this variant’s character, without added caffeine or taurine.

This clear liqueur is vegan, gluten-free and lactose-free, with no added colouring. It is bottled at 18% in a 0.7-litre bottle. Served well chilled, it can be enjoyed neat as a shot or used in cocktails and long drinks. Bangarang won gold at the aboutdrinks Beverages Award 2022.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Fresh mint clearly leads on the nose. A light citrus note adds further freshness to the aroma.
• Palate: Peppermint shapes the palate with cooling freshness and a slight bite. Fruity citrus-like notes accompany the characteristic energy-drink flavour, with a sweetness reminiscent of gummy bears.
• Finish: The finish is refreshing and fruity, leaving a lively sensation on the tongue.

Distillery/Bottler:

Berliner Luft is produced by SCHILKIN GmbH & Co. KG BERLIN, based on the estate in Alt-Kaulsdorf. The company’s history began in 1900 in St. Petersburg, where Natalie and Apollon Schilkin made vodka. The family moved to Berlin in 1921 and resumed production there in 1932. Following its expropriation in East Germany in 1972, the business was returned to the family in 1990.

Alongside Berliner Luft, the range includes vodka, caraway spirits and Dry Gin. Schilkin preserves traditional family recipes for its vodkas while also developing new flavours for its peppermint liqueur. Bangarang adds an energy-drink flavour profile to this line.
