Special features: The Blackforest Spiced Rum is produced in Germany by Franz Wild GbR in Gengenbach. For production, deep black organic sugarcane molasses from Paraguay is used, which is diluted with Black Forest spring water. After spontaneous fermentation without the addition of cultured yeasts, the rum matures for 6 years in a total of 6 different types of barrels, including new oak barrels, port wine barrels, sherry barrels, and orange wine barrels. This extensive aging gives it complex aromas and a wide variety of flavors. It is bottled in a 500 ml bottle with an alcohol content of 42%.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, the rum presents aromas of toffee and dried fruits, particularly sweet raisins and fine pastries, accompanied by light nuances of bitter oranges.
• Palate: On the palate, the rum is very smooth and pleasant, with flavors of ripe bananas, candied orange, and a subtle spiciness of cinnamon.
• Finish: The finish is quite long and leaves an almost endless vanilla-caramel note.

Distillery/Bottler: Franz Wild GbR is responsible for the production of Blackforest Spiced Rum. The distillery uses deep black organic sugarcane molasses and cleans it with Black Forest spring water. After spontaneous fermentation, it undergoes 6 years of aging in various barrels, including new oak barrels, port wine barrels, sherry barrels, and orange wine barrels. These specific barrels contribute to the complexity and rich aroma of the rum.
