Special Features:

This single-cask bottling was distilled at Royal Brackla in November 2010. After twelve years, Hart Brothers bottled the whisky in May 2023 at a cask strength of 55.8%. It is non-chill-filtered and contains no added colouring.

Warm spices, creamy malt and dark fruit define the opening. An oily texture, pronounced sweetness, dark chocolate and oak lead to a spicy finish with caramel and citrus peel.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose combines warm cinnamon and ginger with creamy malt and delicate nutty notes, rounded out by ripe citrus fruit and dark berries.
• Palate: The whisky feels oily and malty on the palate, with pronounced sweetness, pepper and dark fruit accompanied by dark chocolate and soft oak.
• Finish: The finish combines caramel and citrus peel with sweet spice, dry oak and lingering notes of nuts and chocolate.

Distillery/Bottler:

The Royal Brackla Distillery has stood on the Cawdor Estate in the Scottish Highlands since 1812. Captain William Fraser founded the distillery, and in 1833 it became the first Scotch whisky distillery to receive a Royal Warrant from King William IV. The single malt in this bottling comes from Royal Brackla.

Iain and Donald Hart founded Hart Brothers in 1964 as a wine and spirits wholesaler and Scotch whisky blender. The independent bottler selects vintage casks, allows their whiskies to mature further and, after careful tasting, decides which will be released as single-cask bottlings. For this twelve-year-old Royal Brackla, Hart Brothers handled the cask selection and bottling.
