This ten-year-old Royal Brackla was distilled in 2014. Duncan Taylor completed its maturation in Pedro Ximénez cask 9346565 and bottled the whisky in 2025 at a cask strength of 55.4%. Limited to 252 bottles, this release is neither chill-filtered nor coloured.

This release from the Fairytale Series is named “The Wolf”. Its PX-influenced character combines caramel, roasted nuts, marzipan and dark dried fruit with dark chocolate, figs, muscovado sugar and cinnamon.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose reveals caramel, roasted nuts, marzipan and dark dried fruit.
• Palate: On the palate, dark chocolate, figs and muscovado sugar combine with cinnamon and sherry sweetness.
• Finish: The long, velvety finish combines cinnamon and delicate wood notes with lingering sherry sweetness.

Distillery/Bottler:

This Highland single malt was produced at the Royal Brackla Distillery in 2014. As an independent bottler, Duncan Taylor completed the whisky’s maturation in Pedro Ximénez cask 9346565 and bottled it at cask strength in 2025, yielding a total of 252 bottles.

Royal Brackla was founded on the Cawdor Estate in 1812. In 1833, it became the first Scotch whisky distillery to receive a Royal Warrant from King William IV, giving rise to the epithet “The King’s Own Whisky”.
