BruXo X Mezcal
Special features: BruXo X Mezcal is a mezcal from Mexico, produced in the Oaxaca region by the distillery Bruxo. The agaves are cooked in a conical earth oven and then fermented in open wooden or plastic tanks. The double distillation takes place in copper stills, which shapes the character of the mezcal. With an alcohol content of 40%, this mezcal shows a balanced aroma and a light smoky note.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: The nose presents aromas of lemon peel, flowers, and peanuts, complemented by a light smoky note.
- Palate: On the palate, lemon peel, fruit, chamomile, mineral notes, and a subtle honey sweetness unfold.
- Finish: The finish is characterized by a lightly smoky pepper note and fresh mint.
Distillery/Bottler: The distillery Bruxo is operated by Juan Morales García in San Dionisio Ocotepec, Oaxaca. Traditional techniques are used in the production, and the agaves are carefully selected. Bruxo is known for the quality of its products, as both production and bottling take place at its own distillery.
