Special features: This 10-year-old Bunnahabhain Staoisha was bottled by Signatory Vintage in the 100 PROOF Edition, which corresponds to an alcohol content of 57.1%. It matured in a combination of first- and second-fill Oloroso sherry butts, resulting in a harmonious blend of peaty smoky notes and the sweet depth of sherry. It was bottled without chill filtration and without coloring to preserve the authenticity and full flavor of the whisky.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Intense smoky aromas, accompanied by fruity notes of dates and orange peel, as well as a slight sweetness of fudge.
- Palate: Strong peat smoke that combines with the sweet depth of sherry, unfolding flavors of dried fruits and a subtle spiciness.

Distillery/Bottler: Bunnahabhain, founded in 1881, is located on the northern east coast of the Isle of Islay. The distillery is known for its unpeated whiskies but also produces peaty variants under the name "Staoisha". Signatory Vintage, the independent bottler of this whisky, was founded in the late 1980s by Andrew Symington and is known for bottling single malts from single casks.
