Cadenhead's Bunnahabhain 10 Year Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Special features: This 10-year-old Bunnahabhain Single Malt Whisky was distilled in 2013 and matured in bourbon casks before being bottled by Cadenhead's in May 2024. As an independent bottler, Cadenhead's values authenticity and forgoes chill filtration and coloring to preserve the natural character of the whisky.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Crispy smoked bacon, sea salt, and hearty peat smoke.
Palate: Creamy Cullen skink soup, fresh mint leaves, and a distinctive smoke.
Finish: Maritime notes, smoked tofu, and a velvety sweetness.
Distillery/Bottler: The Bunnahabhain Distillery was founded in 1881 on the northeast coast of Islay by William Robertson and the Greenlees. Due to its remote location, accommodations for the workers were built on-site. Bunnahabhain is known for its less peated whiskies, with this bottling presenting a smokier variant.
