Special Features:

This Miltonduff combines fifteen years of bourbon-cask maturation with the fruity, creamy character of this Original Collection bottling. The whisky was distilled in 2008 and bottled by Cadenhead's in May 2024 at 46%. Red pome fruit, creamy dessert notes and cardamom sit alongside a waxy, nutty, woody finish. Maple syrup and honey butter add sweet touches, while milk chocolate, hazelnut and a hint of cedarwood complete the flavour profile.

The whisky is neither chill-filtered nor coloured. The bottle contains 0.7 litres.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Red apples, cherries and maple syrup open the nose with fruit and sweetness. A musty note adds an old-fashioned touch.
• Palate: Honey butter, whipped cream and coconut cream are framed by spicy cardamom on the palate.
• Finish: The finish feels waxy. Milk chocolate, hazelnuts and a hint of cedarwood give it a nutty, woody character.

Distillery/Bottler:

Miltonduff produces its single malt in Speyside near Elgin. The distillery received its licence in 1824; its name recalls the Duff family, who owned the estate. Its light, floral spirit with a soft texture plays an important role in Scotch blends, particularly Ballantine’s. Miltonduff has belonged to Chivas Brothers since 2005.

Cadenhead's selected the casks and independently bottled this malt. Founded in Aberdeen in 1842, the company became part of J & A Mitchell & Co Ltd in 1972 following the auction of its stock at the time. Today, the team selects from its own cask stocks from different distilleries and uses tastings to decide when to bottle each whisky. Bottling takes place at its own facility in Campbeltown.
