Special features: This 8-year-old single malt whisky from the renowned Caol Ila distillery has been released by the independent bottler Murray McDavid in its Benchmark series. After traditional maturation in bourbon casks, the whisky received a two-year finish in sweet Tokaji wine casks from Hungary. This special finishing imparts a unique combination of smoky and fruity aromas to the Caol Ila. The bottling is limited to 1,916 bottles and has been neither colored nor chill filtered.
