Captain Morgan Original Spiced Gold brings together Caribbean rums, spices and natural flavourings. Vanilla defines its sweet, spicy recipe, whose precise composition remains a brand secret. The rum used in this spirit matures in charred white oak casks.

Alongside creamy vanilla and brown sugar, the flavour profile includes dried fruit, warming spices and subtle oak notes. The spirit is bottled at 35% alcohol in a 0.7-litre bottle and contains caramel colouring.

Cola makes a suitable mixer, while a fruity rum punch also complements the sweet, spicy character. Lemonade and a squeezed lemon wedge offer another simple long drink option.
