Distillery/Bottler: The Catoctin Creek Distilling Company was founded in 2009 by Scott and Rebecca Harris in Purcellville, Virginia. It is the first legal distillery in Loudoun County since Prohibition and produces certified organic and kosher spirits. In addition to whisky, the distillery also produces brandies from grapes, pears, peaches, and apples, as well as gin. In 2017, the distillery received an investment from Constellation Brands but retained majority ownership. In 2021, production capacity was doubled by acquiring new equipment. In 2023, the distillery regained full independence by buying back shares from Constellation Brands.
