Special Features:

Released in 2025, this small-batch bottling is only the second regular ten-year-old Chichibu after The First Ten from 2020. The edition is limited to 4,956 bottles and was bottled at 50.5%.

The casks selected for this single malt, aged for at least ten years, were predominantly bourbon casks, complemented by portions from sherry and red wine casks. Its fruit-led character combines tropical and light-fleshed fruit with vanilla, honey, spice and toasted malt.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Honey, pear, vanilla and peach define the nose. A floral honey note and sandalwood complete the aroma.
• Palate: The whisky is full-bodied and silky on the palate. Orange peel, juicy peach and redcurrant meet delicate oak spice and white pepper.
• Finish: The long finish carries white pepper and toasted malt into an increasingly dry woody note. A subtle hint of smoke recalls incense.

Distillery/Bottler:

Ichiro Akuto founded Venture Whisky Co., Ltd. in 2004 and launched Ichiro's Malt in 2005. The Chichibu Distillery was built in 2007 and began operating in 2008 after receiving its production licence.

The distillery is located in the city of Chichibu in Saitama Prefecture, northwest of Tokyo. The ten-year-old single malt belongs to the Ichiro's Malt series and was released as an official distillery bottling.
