Special features: This limited special edition of the renowned Chichibu Ichiros Malt Whisky was released in 2024 and honors iconic landmarks of Paris and Tokyo. The bottling consists of 2,484 bottles, each adorned with a label made of traditional Japanese Washi paper featuring the Meiji Jingu Gate in Tokyo. The whisky matured for six to seven years in a combination of 12 ex-bourbon casks, two Chibidaru quarter casks, and one red wine cask, resulting in a complex and multifaceted tasting experience.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Lively and full-bodied, with an initial impression of gentle peat, accompanied by fresh aromas of lemon, menthol, and vanilla. After breathing, tropical fruits like banana and pineapple emerge, followed by herbal infusions such as verbena and bay leaf that refresh the aroma.
• Palate: Exciting and distinguished, with a vegetal start of dried grass and hay, accompanied by pepper. Moist earthy notes form the foundation of the flavor, followed by delicious notes of toasted bread and nuts like chestnut and date.
• Finish: Long and full, beginning with coconut milk that spreads across the palate. Candied pear and rosemary follow in a particularly balanced sequence, before the invigorating finish ends with spicy notes of cardamom, clove, and fresh ginger.
