This 13-year-old blended Scotch gains its distinctive accent from a selective cask finish. After the main maturation, part of the blend is further matured in casks that previously held tequila and then reintegrated into the composition. This additional period in cask deepens the whisky’s existing smooth and fruity qualities without turning it into a tequila-flavoured spirit.
The bottling combines malt and grain whiskies into a blended Scotch and is offered at 40% in a 0.7-litre bottle. This edition received redesigned packaging in 2024.

Chivas Regal belongs to Chivas Brothers Ltd. The company’s history leads back to Aberdeen, where John and James Chivas offered imported spirits and spices, among other goods, in their shop during the 19th century. The brand developed from this combination of trade, selection and blending; the first Chivas Regal blend was created in 1909.
Strathisla, founded in 1786, is regarded as the home of Chivas Regal. For the Tequila Cask Finish, the foundation remains a blend of different matured malt and grain whiskies. Only a selected portion receives the additional cask treatment, integrating its influence into the blend rather than replacing its underlying character.
