Special features: The Copeland 25.3 Single Malt Irish Whiskey comes from the Copeland Distillery, which was founded in 2019 in Donaghadee, County Down, Northern Ireland. This whiskey matured for five years in ex-bourbon barrels as well as Oloroso casks and received its finish in a 225-liter ex-Pinot Noir cask. With an alcohol content of 46%, the whiskey is offered in a 0.7-liter bottle. The production takes place in three copper pot stills, named after the founder's grandmothers and mother: Betty, Hessie, and Pam.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: The nose reveals aromas of fresh mango, citrus notes, dry wood, pear, and rhubarb.
- Palate: The palate surprises with fruitcake enriched with rum, orange marmalade, banana, dates, and honey.
