Special features: The Cotswolds Signature Single Malt Whisky is the first whisky distilled in the picturesque Cotswolds region of England. It is made from 100% locally grown, traditionally floor-malted barley. The aging takes place in a combination of STR casks (Shaved, Toasted and Re-charred) made from American oak, which were previously used for red wine, and high-quality first-fill bourbon casks. This innovative cask program gives the whisky its characteristic fruitiness and depth.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Inviting aromas of honey and butterscotch, accompanied by light fruity notes like peaches and apricots, as well as a hint of marzipan.
Palate: Full-bodied and harmonious with notes of toffee, dried fruits, and red berries, complemented by a gentle spice, creamy vanilla, and a touch of oak.
Finish: Long and warming with dominant oak, accompanied by vanilla pudding and aromatic freshness that invites another sip.
Distillery/Bottler: The Cotswolds Distillery was founded in 2014 by Daniel Szor in the heart of the Cotswolds and is known for its dedication to quality and flavor. It exclusively uses locally grown barley, traditionally floor-malted, and combines traditional craftsmanship with innovative techniques to create whiskies of exceptional quality.
