Courvoisier XO Extra Old Cognac

Special features: The Courvoisier XO Extra Old Cognac masterfully combines Eaux-de-Vie from the four renowned crus of the Cognac region: Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Borderies, and Fins Bois. This careful selection and the aging of the spirits for 11 to 25 years in oak barrels give this cognac its remarkable depth and complexity. The XO was awarded the best cognac in the world at the Wine & Spirit Competition in 1994 and is still considered one of the best cognacs ever.

Tasting Notes:

  • Nose: A seductive bouquet of Crème Brûlée, candied oranges, and floral iris notes unfolds.
  • Palate: Full-bodied and velvety, with flavors of vanilla, caramel, and candied fruits that harmoniously blend together.
  • Finish: Long and intense, accompanied by an elegant floral aftertaste.

Distillery/Bottler: Courvoisier, founded in 1828 in Jarnac, France, is known for its floral cognacs, which were enjoyed by Napoleon Bonaparte. Today, the company is part of the Davide Campari-Milano group and produces some of the world's highest quality cognacs.
