Special Features:

Four Refill Hogsheads make up this Small Batch from Dailuaine. Distilled in 2015, the Single Malt matured for ten years before being bottled in 2025 for The Single Malts of Scotland. The previously used casks give the spirit room to express itself: their restrained oak influence supports its pronounced waxy, fruity and malty character rather than overshadowing it.

This bottling combines creamy sweetness with an oily texture and has no smoky notes. It contains 48% alcohol and is neither chill-filtered nor coloured. The bottle holds 0.7 litres and comes without gift packaging.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Ripe apple and banana lead the nose, accompanied by honey and vanilla. A subtle citrus note, malt and a waxy impression complete the aromas.
• Palate: On the palate, banana and malt meet creamy butterscotch and caramel. The pronounced waxy texture coats the mouth, while delicate vanilla complements the sweetness.
• Finish: Sweet malt and vanilla linger for a long time. Subtle oak notes lead into a dry finish. A little water can bring delicate herbal notes further to the fore in the aftertaste.

Distillery/Bottler:

Dailuaine is located in Scotland's Speyside region and was built in 1851. Much of its production goes into blends, including Johnnie Walker. Official distillery bottlings account for only a small share. Independent bottlings such as this Small Batch therefore offer another opportunity to discover the distillery's malt on its own.

Elixir Distillers is responsible for selection and bottling for The Single Malts of Scotland. Established in 2005, the range explores the different characters of Scottish distilleries. For its single-cask bottlings, Elixir Distillers chooses the point of maturity and bottling strength to suit each whisky. The Small Batch collection complements this approach with limited bottlings drawn from several selected casks.
