Marbled Treasures is the first 21-year-old Dailuaine ever released and a limited edition from the Diageo Special Releases 2025 collection, themed Horizons Unbound.

The single malt spent its entire 21-year maturation in Spanish oak casks that had previously held sherry. It was therefore fully matured in these casks rather than receiving a subsequent sherry finish.

This distillery bottling was bottled in 2025 at its natural cask strength of 54.3%. It is non-chill-filtered and contains no added colouring.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose opens mild, dry and spicy with Oloroso sherry. Sultanas, roasted chestnuts and dark-chocolate-covered cherries follow, rounded out by a subtle liqueur-like note.
• Palate: The whisky feels creamy, full-bodied and slightly drying on the palate. A lively, sweet opening of brown sugar and espresso gives way to intense dried fruit and dry peppery spice.
• Finish: The long finish evokes gently sweet ginger, dries gradually and leaves a subtle flinty note.

Distillery/Bottler:

Dailuaine is an active Speyside distillery built by William Mackenzie in 1851. By the end of the 19th century, it ranked among the region’s largest and most technically innovative distilleries.

Long fermentation, rapid distillation and reduced copper contact in the condensers shape the distillate’s heavy, robust character.

Diageo released Marbled Treasures as a distillery bottling in the 2025 Special Releases collection.
