Def Leppard Rocket Dry Gin

Volume: 0.7 litres | Alcohol content: 40%

Special Features:

Lavender and lemon give this Def Leppard gin its distinctive character. They are macerated and then blended with a grain-based distillate characterised by juniper and herbs. No sweeteners are added. The lavender connection was inspired by the lavender labyrinths at Sheffield Manor Lodge.

Rocket was released alongside Animal on 10 June 2022 to mark Def Leppard's 45th anniversary. Both gins are named after songs from the album Hysteria; Rocket's label draws on the artwork of the single of the same name. This Swedish gin is offered at 40% alcohol in a bottle containing 0.7 litres.

Alongside juniper and lavender, the flavour profile includes spicy coriander and bitter orange notes.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Juniper and lavender stand out clearly on the nose. Spicy, bright floral and green vegetal notes are accompanied by balanced lemon aromas.
• Palate: The palate is richly aromatic, with clearly discernible juniper, lavender, herbs and citrus fruit.
• Finish: The full-bodied finish is long-lasting. Juniper remains present as a pronounced lavender flavour lingers.

Distillery/Bottler:

Brands For Fans develops spirits in collaboration with musicians and bands. The Swedish company was established in 2012 and has been part of the UMIDA Group since January 2018. Its partners include KISS, Motörhead and Ghost.

The two Def Leppard gins were developed by in-house Master Blender Daniel Henriksson. Brands For Fans worked with Epic Rights, the band's licensing agency, on their development. The project combines a specially developed gin recipe with musical and visual references to Def Leppard.
