DIS ONE Kerub is a six-year-old German single malt from the 2019 vintage, matured in Bordeaux Single Cask 68. DIS ONE combines selected types of malted barley for this whisky, creating an interplay of malty sweetness and deep roasted notes.

The Bordeaux cask contributes more than fruit sweetness: vinous red fruits and dried red fruits meet pipe tobacco and dark chocolate, while vanilla and delicate spices round out the contrast.

Kerub is bottled at 46.8% in 0.5-litre bottles. Its long, vibrant finish combines fresh orange with delicate spice. The bottling received Gold at Meininger’s International Spirits Award in 2024 and a Gold Award at the Excellence of Whisky in 2026.

Distillery/Bottler:

Distillery No ONE in Kirchberg produces and bottles Kerub itself. The distillery was established in a farmhouse more than 100 years old, which the company acquired in 2011 and extensively renovated. Its equipment became operational in 2016; the first whisky casks were filled and the distillery opened in 2017.

The distillery uses malted barley and mineral-rich well water for its whisky. The wort undergoes climate-neutral distillation in two stages: the first distillation reaches around 36%, and the second around 84%. DIS ONE then reduces the new make to around 60% for maturation and fills it into hand-selected oak casks that previously held Bordeaux wine. Kerub matured in this manner in single cask 68.
