Special Features:

Extended oak maturation shapes this vintage Armagnac from Domaine de Baraillon. Following distillation in 1996, the spirit remained in wood until bottling in 2025, a maturation period of almost three decades. Its fruity character combines with subtle woody spice, while the spirit displays a deep terracotta hue in the glass.

The Armagnac was bottled on the estate at 42% and contains no added colouring. The 0.7-litre bottle is supplied in a wooden box. The label bears the family coat of arms.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Ripe plums and dark cherries lead on the nose, accompanied by floral notes and subtle woody spice.
• Palate: The Armagnac is full-bodied, soft and slightly sweet on the palate. Plums and cherries meet a distinctly noticeable yet gentle woody note.
• Finish: Gentle honey notes, balanced spice and a delicate woody tone linger in the long finish.

Distillery/Bottler:

Domaine de Baraillon is located in Lannemaignan in Bas-Armagnac, on the border between Gers and Landes. The Claverie family has farmed the estate since 1748. Operating as SCEA Claverie, the estate owns 20 hectares of vineyards on sandy-clay soils known locally as Sables fauves. Its grape varieties include Folle Blanche, Colombard and Baco.

The estate's production methods include distillation to an alcohol strength of around 52%. The spirits then mature in casks made from local oak in the family estate's old cellars. Viticulture, distillation and extended ageing thus form the foundation of its Armagnac production.
