Special Features:

This anniversary bottling was distilled on 28 January 2003 and matured for 22 years in first-fill Amarone hogsheads from Dal Forno Romano, numbered 1001 to 1005. It was released in 2025 to mark Edradour’s 200th anniversary.

Edradour bottled the whisky at 50.8% in a limited release of 1,510 bottles. It is non-chill-filtered, contains no added colouring and comes in a 0.7-litre bottle presented in a tube.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Dark cherries and raisins lead on the nose, accompanied by dried figs, red grapes and dark chocolate. Leather and a hint of sweet tobacco complement the fruit notes.
• Palate: The whisky is full-bodied and velvety on the palate. Amarone-influenced dark fruit and plum compote combine with dark honey, vanilla, cinnamon, cloves, spicy oak and a hint of cocoa.
• Finish: The finish is long and warm. Red berries, wood and spices linger alongside a fine structure of wine-derived tannins.

Distillery/Bottler:

Edradour was founded by local farmers in 1825. Its traditionally equipped production facilities include an open cast-iron mash tun, a Morton cooler, Oregon pine washbacks, two small stills and worm tubs for condensation.

For this anniversary edition, Edradour distilled the whisky, which then matured in the selected Amarone casks before being bottled by the distillery in 2025.
