Special Features:

Maturation entirely in selected first-fill hogsheads that had held Burgundy wine defines this small-batch bottling. Edradour distilled the whisky in August 2013 and bottled it twelve years later, in April 2026. The casks, previously seasoned with Burgundy wine made from Pinot Noir, were therefore used for the single malt’s entire maturation rather than merely for a brief finish. This official small-batch bottling was released at 46%. The bottle contains 0.7 litres; the whisky is non-chill filtered and has no added colouring.

The profile combines dried cherries on the nose with red cherry on the palate. Delicate vanilla and subtle earthiness add depth, while gentle, elegant spice accompanies the balanced sweetness. Nuanced vanilla and fine spice linger through the long finish.

Distillery/Bottler:

At Edradour, distillation, maturation and bottling all take place at the distillery in Pitlochry. The second distillation is carried out in Scotland’s smallest traditional pot still. The vapour is then condensed through copper coils in water-cooled worm tubs. For fermentation, the distillery uses two Oregon pine washbacks that are more than 50 years old.
