Edradour Single Malt and cream form the basis of this Highland liqueur. Its recipe was developed specifically for the distillery, combining malty whisky character with a silky, soft texture and notes of butterscotch and chocolate. The liqueur is offered at 17% alcohol in a 0.7-litre bottle.

The liqueur can be enjoyed neat, poured over ice cream or added to coffee. Once opened, the bottle should be kept in the refrigerator, where its contents will keep for several weeks.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, creamy impressions mingle with malt notes.
• Palate: The liqueur feels silky, soft and creamy on the palate. Butterscotch and chocolate stand out clearly.
• Finish: The finish is gentle, with a hint of hazelnut.

Distillery/Bottler:

Edradour lies near Pitlochry in Perthshire and was established in 1825 by a group of local farmers. The old farm buildings still house small-scale whisky production today. Andrew Symington has led the distillery since 2002.

In the historic stillhouse, malted barley is mixed with spring water in an open cast-iron mash tun. A traditional Morton cooler cools the wort before it enters Oregon pine washbacks for fermentation. Distillation takes place in two small copper stills. The vapours then condense in coiled copper pipes immersed in water-cooled vessels known as worm tubs. These methods are used to make Edradour Single Malt, which is also an ingredient in the cream liqueur.
