Enso Japanese Blended Whisky - without GP
Special features: The Enso Japanese Blended Whisky is produced in Japan and is a handcrafted pot still blend. It combines fruity and floral aromas and comes in a bottle size of 700 ml with an alcohol content of 40%. The individual distilleries from which the components of this blend originate are not known. The whisky matures in American oak barrels and is blended in Kiyokawa in Kanagawa Prefecture.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: The nose reveals sweet notes of caramel and light vanilla, followed by tropical fruits such as banana, mango, and pineapple, along with floral nuances.
- Palate: The palate is soft and full-bodied with fresh vanilla, toffee cream candies, fine grain notes, and a hint of oak spice, accompanied by light fruitiness.
- Finish: The finish is mild and well-balanced, with lingering fruit and vanilla aromas and a touch of spice.
Distillery/Bottler: The Enso Japanese Blended Whisky is bottled by Kiyokawa Co., Ltd., a producer from Kanagawa Prefecture, west of Tokyo. The whisky assembly is created there using classic pot still methods. Kiyokawa is known for its in-house, unnamed distilleries that are responsible for the various components of the blend. The name "Ensō" stands for harmony and completeness in Zen.
