Special Features:

This 30-year-old Fettercairn is a single-cask release from hogshead 2829, limited to 157 bottles. The whisky was distilled on 25 October 1995 and bottled on 17 April 2026 by Signatory Vintage for Symington's Choice as part of the Cask Strength Collection. Each bottle contains 0.7 litres and was filled at a cask strength of 58.3%, without chill filtration or added colouring.

Ripe apples and pears form the fruity, sweet core alongside honey and vanilla. Delicate malt, toffee and gentle oak round out the profile, with subtly waxy depth, sweet spices and ginger adding further accents. The finish remains long and sweet as vanilla, delicate spice and fruit gradually fade.

• Nose: Ripe apples and pears combine with honey and vanilla on the nose. Gentle oak and a subtly waxy depth complete the aromatic profile.
• Palate: On the palate, juicy fruit, creamy vanilla and toffee meet sweet spices and a delicate accent of ginger.
• Finish: The finish is long and sweet; vanilla and delicate spice remain present as the fruit gradually fades.

Distillery/Bottler:

Fettercairn was opened by Sir Alexander Ramsay in 1824 on the edge of the Cairngorms. Since the mid-1950s, a copper cooling ring has run mountain water over the outside of the stills. The cooled copper increases condensation inside, allowing mainly the lighter vapours to rise for further processing; the distillery associates this method with its tropical-fruit house style.

Andrew Symington founded Signatory Vintage with his brother in 1988 as an independent bottler. After acquiring Edradour Distillery in 2002, its Pitlochry site became the company's headquarters; operational activities had been transferred there by 2007. Signatory focuses on clearly documented cask selections and single-cask releases such as this Fettercairn from hogshead 2829.
