Special Features:

This single-cask bottling combines 15 years of maturation in a bourbon cask with natural cask strength. The whisky was distilled at Fettercairn in September 2007 and bottled by Hart Brothers in September 2022 at 55.9%. It contains no added colouring and was not chill-filtered.

Its profile ranges from apple, pear, lime and orange to creamy vanilla, honeyed sweetness and dried fruit. Ginger, black pepper and clove add spicy accents, while toasted wood and dry oak round out the character.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose reveals apples and pears alongside lime and orange, while creamy vanilla and subtle ginger add smooth, spicy accents.
• Palate: On the palate, honeyed sweetness meets ginger, black pepper and clove, while citrus notes, vanilla and toasted wood give the whisky structure.
• Finish: The finish is long and dry, with dried fruit, delicate oak and lingering woody notes.

Distillery/Bottler:

The Fettercairn Distillery was opened by Sir Alexander Ramsay in the Scottish Highlands in 1824. Since the mid-1950s, a ring-shaped copper pipe has cooled the outside of the stills with water. This causes more of the heavier vapours to condense inside, while mainly lighter vapours rise for further processing.

Hart Brothers Limited was founded in 1964 by Iain and Donald Hart as a wine and spirits wholesaler and Scotch whisky blender. Alistair Hart joined the company in 1975 and, as Chief Blender, took charge of selecting rare vintage casks. As an independent bottler, Hart Brothers carefully tastes and selects whiskies for single-cask releases. Since such a bottling cannot be reproduced, the company documents sold-out releases in its own archive, together with distillery histories and tasting notes.
