Special features: This 28-year-old Highland Single Malt Whisky from Fettercairn matures exclusively in American oak casks that were previously used for bourbon storage. The distillery uses a unique copper cooling ring that directs cool mountain water to the outside of the stills to distill only the purest vapors.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Inviting aromas of pineapple and melon, accompanied by sweet syrup, followed by warm ginger and a hint of licorice.
- Palate: Fresh citrus notes and black pepper, rounded off with walnuts, vanilla, and a variety of spices.
- Finish: A medium-length finish with notes of coffee, apricot, and a hint of sweet balsamic.
