Hamburg’s Franzbrötchen pastry provides the flavour inspiration for this cream liqueur. Franzi brings together the spice of cinnamon, caramelised sugar, butter and dough notes, and a hint of vanilla. Its soft, velvety texture echoes the richness of the laminated pastry.

Franzi was launched in 2021 after almost four years of development. The original recipe contains cream from cow’s milk and is gluten-free. The bottle contains 0.5 litres at 15% alcohol.

Enjoy Franzi well chilled, neat or over ice. It also works in speciality coffees, as an ice cream topping, and in desserts or pastries. Cool, dark storage helps preserve its flavour and colour.

• Nose: The aroma recalls freshly baked Franzbrötchen pastries, combining cinnamon and caramel.
• Palate: The liqueur is creamy and sweet on the palate. Cinnamon, vanilla and cream define its flavour.

Distillery/Bottler:

Franzi is the creation of siblings Ann-Katrin and Johann Dallmeyer, who founded NORK. The team has been working with Korn and liqueurs since 2016. While NORK explores the use of this grain spirit in cocktails and long drinks, Franzi emerged as a separate brand centred on the flavour of Hamburg’s Franzbrötchen pastry.
