This Glen Elgin was distilled in April 2006 and matured for 16 years in a refill hogshead. Master of Malt bottled the whisky in June 2022 at 51%. The single cask yielded 271 bottles, with no added colouring or chill filtration.
Toffee, caramel and sweet pastries mingle with vanilla and milky coffee. Banana adds a fruity accent, while honey, grilled pineapple, ginger, chocolate and berries lead into a long, spicy oak finish.

The spirit for this Speyside single malt was distilled at Glen Elgin Distillery in April 2006. Completed in 1898, the distillery now operates six stills and traditional worm-tub condensers. Its light spirit is an important component of White Horse.
The whisky matured for 16 years in a refill hogshead before Master of Malt independently bottled it in June 2022 at 51%; the single cask yielded 271 bottles.
For its own single-cask releases, Master of Malt tastes numerous cask samples and selects only a proportion of them. Neither caramel colouring nor chill filtration is used, although the strength is reduced before bottling.
