A 24-month finish in two European oak Bual Madeira hogsheads defines this limited release. Distilled in 2011, the Glen Elgin matured for a total of 14 years before James Eadie bottled it at cask strength in 2026 at 52.7%. The two hogsheads yielded 472 bottles. The whisky is non-chill filtered and contains no added colouring.
The broader aromatic spectrum combines peach, ripe berries and honey with pear, berry compote and creamy nuts. Vanilla and the vinous sweetness of the Madeira finish complement the fruity profile.

Glen Elgin was founded in 1898 by William Simpson and James Carle and began production in 1900. The Speyside distillery uses a fermentation of around 90 hours and traditional worm-tub condensers.
The James Eadie name comes from the Scottish brewer and whisky blender James Eadie, who lived from 1827 to 1904. His great-great-grandson Rupert Patrick revived the family’s whisky tradition for the present-day company. As an independent Scottish bottler, the company focuses on cask finishes, single casks and small batches.
