Special Features:

This Glen Grant was distilled in March 2008 and bottled in March 2026 after 18 years. Maturation in a refill hogshead was followed by an Oloroso sherry finish, yielding exactly 184 bottles for Cask Series 027 at 56.1%. The release has natural colour and was not chill filtered.

Well-fired shortbread and pistachio shells open the nose with a toasted, nutty impression. The palate moves to warm apple turnover and double cream, its creamy texture coating the whole mouth immediately. The very long finish concentrates on a fistful of sweet cashew nuts. The three stages remain distinct, moving from pastry and pistachio through creamy apple to lingering nutty sweetness.

Distillery/Bottler:

Glen Grant Distillery produced the Speyside single malt. North Star Spirits applied the Oloroso finish and bottled it independently for Cask Series 027.

Glen Grant was founded in Rothes in 1840 by brothers John and James Grant. The tall, slender stills and water-cooled purifiers later introduced by James 'The Major' Grant still shape its light, floral new-make character. North Star combines that elegance with long refill maturation and a focused Oloroso finish.
