Glen Moray Port Cask Finish matures first in American oak before spending several months finishing in port wine casks from Porto Cruz. This additional maturation brings rich fruit and gentle wine notes to its Speyside character. It also gives the whisky its characteristic rosy-gold hue.

The single malt remains light, fruity and balanced. Vanilla and light oak combine with dried fruit, while lemon, caramel sweetness and cinnamon add further accents. The whisky is bottled at 40%.

• Nose: On the nose, vanilla with a toasted note and light oak meet rich dried-fruit aromas.
• Palate: On the palate, refreshing spice and a zesty lemon note combine with caramel sweetness and cinnamon.
• Finish: The finish is soft and balanced, with sweet, gentle wine notes and toasted oak.

Distillery/Bottler:

Glen Moray Distillery in Elgin was established in 1897 in the former West Brewery, which had brewed beer since 1830. Spirit first flowed from its stills on 13 September 1897. Even then, the distillery used Marsala wine casks alongside sherry casks for maturation—an unusually broad selection of casks for the time.

In 1999, Glen Moray revisited these early wine maturations with Chardonnay and Chenin Blanc finishes. The Classic Collection, introduced in 2014, continued this spirit of experimentation with a range of cask finishes, including a port wine finish. Glen Moray Port Cask Finish is an official distillery bottling.
