Glen Scotia 14 y.o. - The Dragon Icons Release No.2

Special features: This limited special release is the second of a total of five releases in the "Icons of Campbeltown" series by Glen Scotia. It honors the brave efforts of the Campbeltown community, which fought a devastating fire at the Dalintober distillery on December 17, 1899, thus saving the distillery. The whisky was matured for 14 years and then finished for six months in Barolo red wine casks, giving it a special depth and complexity.

Tasting Notes:

  • Nose: Silky and spicy with subtle smoky accents.
  • Palate: Smoky with a hint of fiery red candied fruits and berries.
  • Finish: Long with a dry, spicy aftertaste. A subtle maritime saltiness in the finish.

Distillery/Bottler: Glen Scotia, founded in 1832 in Campbeltown, Scotland, is one of the oldest and most traditional distilleries in the region. It is known for its characteristic single malts, which often combine a smoky note with fruity and spicy aromas. The "Icons of Campbeltown" series honors local legends and the strong community of the place.
