Glen Scotia 9 y.o. Unpeated Fino Sherry Finish - Campbeltown Malts Festival 2024

Special features: This limited special edition was created specifically for the Campbeltown Malts Festival 2024. The whisky matured for nine years and received a finish in Fino sherry casks, which makes its character particularly multifaceted. Unpeated and with a powerful alcohol content, this original bottling presents itself in unadulterated condition, without chill filtration and without coloring.

Tasting Notes:

  • Nose: Fresh notes of white grapes, almond blossoms, and a fine sea salt breeze accompany subtle hints of vanilla and brioche.
  • Palate: Dry, with vibrant fruitiness, delicate nuttiness, and an elegant spiciness, shaped by floral and sherry-typical aromas.
  • Finish: Long-lasting, dry, and slightly spicy, with a fine bitter almond note and a hint of salty minerality.

Distillery/Bottler: Glen Scotia is considered one of the most traditional distilleries in Campbeltown, one of the five classic whisky regions of Scotland. Since its founding in the 19th century, Glen Scotia has stood for powerful, maritime-influenced single malts with a distinctive character. The distillery combines old craftsmanship with modern technology and maintains an authentic production that reflects the spirit of Campbeltown.
