Collection II brings together three Glenfarclas single malts matured for different lengths of time: 0.2 litres of Glenfarclas 15 at 46%, 0.2 litres of Glenfarclas 21 at 43% and 0.2 litres of Glenfarclas 25 at 43%. These three distillery bottlings allow a direct comparison of the sherry-forward house style at 15, 21 and 25 years of age.

The set contains 0.6 litres in total. The three bottlings are non-chill-filtered and contain no added colouring.

The overall profile of Glenfarclas 21 includes tropical and dried fruits, nutmeg, almond and vanilla alongside sherry and citrus. Dark chocolate accompanies its long, smooth finish.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Glenfarclas 15 brings together sherry, sweet malt and a delicate trace of smoke. Glenfarclas 21 reveals a powerful bouquet of sherry, delicate citrus accents, fruit and nuts. Fruit loaf, orange marmalade, dates and sherry define the full, intense aroma of Glenfarclas 25, with a touch of coffee in the background.
• Palate: Smoke, sherry and malt appear in a very balanced proportion in Glenfarclas 15. Abundant spice and light, slightly sweet smoke underpin the full-bodied Glenfarclas 21, while its fruit lends additional roundness to the flavour. Glenfarclas 25 initially presents warm sherry alongside robust, austere oak and hazelnut chocolate. Spiced gingerbread, honey and malt then broaden the flavour.
• Finish: Glenfarclas 15 has a long, lingering finish. Dark chocolate and a light trace of smoke accompany the smooth, lingering finish of Glenfarclas 21. Sherry and smoke remain present in the very long, complex finish of Glenfarclas 25.

Distillery/Bottler:

Glenfarclas has remained independently owned by the Grant family since John Grant acquired the distillery in 1865. Members of the fifth and sixth generations continue to run the business in Ballindalloch. Glenfarclas traditionally double-distils in direct-fired pot stills and matures its whiskies in selected European Oloroso sherry casks. The three single malts in this Collection are distillery bottlings.
