With Bourbon Barrel Reserve, Glenfiddich brings together two distinct American oak influences. The single malt first matures for fourteen years in ex-bourbon barrels before finishing in heavily charred new American oak casks. The fresh wood thus complements the long maturation in previously used casks. Vanilla and sweet fruit notes sit alongside pronounced oak and wood spice.

This non-smoky Speyside single malt is bottled at 43% alcohol. The bottle contains 0.7 litres and comes in a presentation tube.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Lively vanilla comes to the fore on the nose, accompanied by delicate citrus notes, caramelised brown sugar and cinnamon. Baked apple and ripe summer fruits mingle with bold oak aromas.
• Palate: The whisky is rich and sweet on the palate. Creamy toffee combines with wood spice, candied orange peel and freshly toasted oak.
• Finish: The long finish retains a lingering sweetness.

Distillery/Bottler:

Glenfiddich is located in Dufftown in Scotland's Speyside region. William Grant began building the distillery in the Fiddich valley in 1886, helped by his seven sons and two daughters. Spirit first flowed from the copper stills on Christmas Day 1887. Glenfiddich means “valley of the deer” in Gaelic. The distillery remains owned and run by the founding family.

Glenfiddich continues to use water from the Robbie Dhu spring and stills of the same size as those used at its beginnings. This continuity is part of the distillery's working approach, while different maturation methods give each bottling its own character.
