Release No. 2 is the 16-year-old Glenfiddich from the second year of the partnership with Aston Martin Formula One. Unveiled on 4 August 2026, this limited edition was bottled at 43%.

Malt Master Brian Kinsman composed the single malt from five cask types: first-fill bourbon casks, port pipes, Oloroso sherry casks, wine casks and a final accent from Fino sherry butts. This multi-cask maturation combines Glenfiddich’s fruit-forward style with sweetness, richness and structure without showcasing the individual cask types in isolation. The overall character also brings together a silky texture, orchard fruit and elegant oak.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose reveals stewed fruit and floral notes, accompanied by hints of marzipan and polished leather. A drop of water brings the fresh, ripe fruit further forward.
• Palate: The whisky is gentle and silky on the palate, with creamy, buttery toffee sweetness and caramelised cane sugar. Dry oak tannins provide a balancing contrast.
• Finish: The finish is long-lasting and shaped by sweet oak.

Distillery/Bottler:

William Grant founded Glenfiddich in Dufftown in 1887. The distillery remains family-run and continues to make Glenfiddich at the same site. The manufacturer of this official bottling is William Grant & Sons Ltd.

For Release No. 2, Malt Master Brian Kinsman selected, balanced and married different whiskies from Glenfiddich’s stocks. The collaboration with Aston Martin Formula One applies their shared idea—that the overall result is determined by many precise individual decisions—to cask selection and the balancing of the maturation components.
