This 15-year-old Highland single malt matured in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks and Spanish wine casks. Dark dessert notes and ripe fruit are joined by a delicate salty edge.

Chocolate sauce and salted caramel meet Spanish orange, Manuka honey and date oil. Papaya, dark chocolate and coffee add further depth to the sweet profile.

This 0.7-litre bottling has an alcohol content of 46%, is non-chill-filtered and contains no added colouring.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, chocolate sauce and salted caramel mingle with Spanish orange, dark Manuka honey and date oil.
• Palate: On the palate, oily, dense and salted dark sugar syrup, caramelised date, juicy orange and papaya combine with chocolate and coffee.
• Finish: The finish is warming and long, with cinnamon, nutmeg, gentle nutty notes and lingering coastal nuances.

Distillery/Bottler:

Glenglassaugh Distillery stands on the north-east coast of the Scottish Highlands, between Sandend and Portsoy. Colonel James Moir laid the foundations of the distillery beside the Glassaugh Burn in 1875. After several periods of closure, Glenglassaugh resumed production in December 2008; Brown-Forman acquired the brand in 2016.

The distillery uses water from the Glassaugh Spring on Durne Hill for its single malts; after distillation, the whiskies mature in its coastal warehouses. Glenglassaugh 15 y.o. - PX Sherry & Spanish Wine Casks is an official distillery bottling.
