Special features: This 13-year-old single malt Scotch whisky from the renowned Glenlivet distillery has been matured exclusively in first-fill casks made of American oak. This special maturation gives the whisky a particularly fruity and sweet aroma. Originally, this bottling was intended exclusively for the French market, but fortunately, it is now also available in Germany. A must for lovers of sweet whiskies.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Sweet notes of caramel and vanilla, accompanied by fruity and floral aromas as well as a hint of almonds and nutmeg.
- Palate: Soft and velvety with recurring notes of vanilla, coconut, and orange, complemented by aromas of pear and buttered toast.
- Finish: Medium-length and warming with light spice notes, vanilla, and nuts.
Distillery/Bottler: The Glenlivet distillery, founded in 1824 by George Smith, was the first legally licensed distillery in Scotland and is located in the heart of the Speyside region. It is known for its fruity and floral single malts and is now part of the Pernod Ricard group.
