The compact format containing 0.2 litres holds the same approachable Speyside single malt as the standard bottle. Founder’s Reserve carries no age statement. It is matured in traditional oak casks and first-fill American oak casks. This choice of casks combines the edition’s characteristic citrus and orchard-fruit notes with creamy vanilla. The whisky is not smoky.

Founder’s Reserve is an official bottling from The Glenlivet distillery in Speyside. In 1824, George Smith became the first distiller in the parish of Glenlivet to obtain a legal licence. Introduced in 2015, the edition pays tribute to his original vision. The Glenlivet uses its characteristic lantern-shaped copper stills in production.
