Special features: This limited release from Duncan Taylor comes from the 2013 vintage of the Glenrothes distillery and was bottled in 2024. With a cask content of only 819 bottles, the whisky is presented in a typically simple tube. The maturation took place exclusively in oak casks, which gives the distillate its characteristic depth. Not chill-filtered and without the addition of coloring, the original character of the Speyside malt is preserved.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Fruity notes of ripe apples and pears, accompanied by light vanilla aromas and a hint of freshly sawn wood.
Palate: Spicy and full-bodied with hints of honey, cinnamon, and a fine caramel note.
Finish: Long-lasting, dry with a pleasantly warming oak spice.
Distillery/Bottler: Glenrothes is a traditional distillery from the Scottish Speyside region, known since the 1870s for its elegant single malts. Duncan Taylor is regarded as an independent bottler with a fine sense for selected editions and emphasizes presenting whiskies unadulterated and without additives.
