Distillery/Bottler:
Glentauchers was founded in 1897 by James Buchanan and W.P. Lowrie and designed by John Alcock. The distillery's foundation stone was laid on 29 May in a field belonging to Tauchers Farm. The distillery produced the Speyside single malt distilled in 1996 for this bottling.
Murray McDavid was responsible for the whisky's further maturation and bottling. Mission Gold is the bottler's prestige collection for old, rare and distinctive single malts, grain whiskies and blends. At the former Coleburn Distillery site in Speyside, Murray McDavid further matures selected whiskies in high-quality casks from a variety of origins.
