Special features: The Glenturret 12 Year 2025 Release is the centerpiece of the distillery's annual releases. This complex and seductive single malt whisky showcases the rich character of European oak, supported by delicate, sweet notes of American oak. The maturation in Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks creates flavor layers that come to life with every sip. The whisky unfolds aromas of light citrus fruit and gentle vanilla tones, embedded in warming wood spices and toasted oak.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Oily malt notes, accompanied by roasted nuts and sweet raisins. A hint of vanilla rounds off the aroma.
- Palate: Warm entry with flavors of sultanas, underpinned by spicy notes of ginger and cinnamon. Fruity accents of apples and oak complement the tasting experience.
- Finish: Long-lasting and fruity, with a subtle aftertaste of toasted oak and vanilla.
Distillery/Bottler: The Glenturret Distillery, founded in 1763, is considered one of the oldest still-producing distilleries in Scotland. It is located in the Highlands and is known for its artisanal production of single malt whiskies. In 2018, the distillery was acquired by the Swiss luxury group Lalique, leading to a realignment and modernization.
