Special Features:

This twelve-year-old Highland single malt forms the heart of the 2025 range. It matures predominantly in European oak casks seasoned with Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez, while American oak contributes a subtler influence. The whisky is bottled at 46.2%, without chill filtration or added colouring.

Caramelised citrus fruit and vanilla meet dried fruit, cinnamon and wood spices. They are joined by impressions of a toffee-coated apple, barley sugar, malt and sticky-sweet ginger cake. Ginger, nutmeg and toasted oak give the profile its spicy, oak-led character.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, caramelised citrus fruit meets vanilla and cinnamon, with dried fruit adding depth behind them.
• Palate: The palate combines a sweetness reminiscent of salted caramel with dried fruit and spices.
• Finish: Ginger, nutmeg and toasted oak linger through the long, pleasantly warming finish.

Distillery/Bottler:

The Glenturret Distillery distils the whisky, which is released as a distillery bottling after twelve years of maturation. The earliest known documentary reference to the distillery dates from 1763. After operations had ceased for more than three decades, James Fairlie purchased the distillery in 1957, brought its original distilling equipment back into use and subsequently managed it for over twenty years as Director and Master Distiller.
