Special Features:

Eclosion was released in 2026 as a global limited edition. This Highland Single Malt matured predominantly in European PX sherry casks, with a single American oak puncheon completing the cask composition. The PX casks give the whisky richness and structure. At the same time, bright tropical fruit, clear citrus notes and soft vanilla sweetness emerge, while the puncheon adds a lighter accent.

The cask selection is designed for balance and restraint: PX-influenced depth provides the foundation without obscuring the bright fruit and vanilla character. Bottled at its natural colour without chill filtration, the whisky comes at 46.2% in a 0.7-litre bottle.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Bright pineapple and citrus compote rise from the glass. Vanilla cream and a delicate trace of ginger-spiced oak form a second layer.
• Palate: Lively citrus fruits appear first on the palate, followed by further pineapple notes and a hint of orange oil. Soft oak with a fine coating of cinnamon then emerges.
• Finish: The finish is warming and fruit-forward. Elegantly integrated oak fades gently and lingers.

Distillery/Bottler:

The Glenturret Distillery is located at The Hosh near Crieff. Its earliest documented predecessor was the Thurot Distillery, mentioned in 1763; from 1814 to 1873, the operation was known as The Hosh Distillery. The Glenturret bases its claim to be Scotland’s oldest working distillery on these historical records.

A joint venture led by the Lalique Group and Hansjörg Wyss acquired the distillery in 2019; Whisky Maker Bob Dalgarno joined that same year. He has shaped the relaunched single malt range since 2020. Eclosion is a distillery bottling that continues the focus on small batches, careful cask selection and deliberately composed releases.
